As an architect, I had a design together already, but Brad was great at working out the most efficient details with me and figuring out how to make a level bookcase in our very un-level old house.  When I inherited my father’s books, it meant a great deal to me and I was determined to give them a proper home.  I’d always admired Biedermeier furniture and had never been able to afford it, but knowing that Brad was plenty handy, I asked if he could make me a pair of bookcases that might get me where I wanted to go.   Within a few hours Brad and I were emailing back and forth pictures of pedestals and entablatures, turned columns, you name it.  Brad was a tireless co-conspirator, presenting me with a number of designs and refinements, ever mindful of the bottom line … and there was no architect, engineer or designer involved … Brad was the one who figured out how to construct the bookcases and made his own shop drawings.   The finished product is handsome, sturdy, finely made and nicely finished.  This is no ordinary cabinet maker you’re dealing with.

 Brad made a beautiful custom side table for our dining room. He was so easy to work with and made suggestions on style that I would not have come up with on my own. The table is a signature piece in our home and the first thing guests notice. It really is beautiful and unique. Brad was easy to work with and met all deadlines and was very accommodating.  Brad completed a custom built in for our (mini) mudroom and I could not have been more pleased with the experience and the finished product. We had received quotes from three different contractors before learning about Ironwood Cabinets and from the first consultation the difference was clear. Brad solicited input but also made great suggestions about our proposed project. He got back to me over email very quickly. As part of his process he sent a fantastic design sketch (something the other contractors said wasn't necessary) and his contract was detailed and thorough. As with any building project we had some surprises, but Brad helped us to solve each one quickly, even giving us a great referral when we needed to close up an outlet to realize the planned design. When he got to building he was efficient but clearly committed to each detail. We could not be more pleased with the unit he built for us. His communication, insightful suggestions, professional process and top notch craftsmanship prompt me to give him my highest recommendation.
